What is an IP complaint on Amazon?

A brand's intellectual-property claim against your listing - serious, avoidable.

An IP complaint is a report by a rights owner - usually a brand - claiming your offer infringes their intellectual property: trademark, copyright or patent. Amazon takes these seriously: the listing comes down, the complaint lands on your account health, and repeated ones threaten the account.

Arbitrage sellers meet IP complaints when reselling brands that restrict distribution. Genuine products bought at retail can still attract complaints, and disputing them without a solid invoice trail is painful. The defence is sourcing discipline: know the brands that enforce, keep records of where every unit came from, and when a brand signals it does not want resellers - move on.
