SourceMogul alternative: where to go now that it is gone
SourceMogul is no longer selling its sourcing tool. This is what to replace, and what it costs.
What we say about SourceMogul here comes from their own site.
SourceMogul is no longer trading
What SourceMogul users need to replace
The workflow maps across almost one to one
Scan online retailers against Amazon, filter by ROI, profit and sales rank, keep buy lists. That is the Arbitrage Hero online arbitrage module, with saved filter presets in place of re-entering criteria.
It costs less, and covers more
SourceMogul sat at the expensive end of the single-purpose sourcing tools, and our entry tier is cheaper than it was. It also includes two things SourceMogul did not sell: a repricer and an inventory manager.
You get the parts SourceMogul was missing
A repricer and an inventory manager with FIFO cost of goods, both in the same subscription, plus reverse search and a Chrome extension.
Nothing to wait for
The brand has changed hands and the site runs a waitlist for a rebuilt product. A waitlist does not source products this month.
What each tool does
The same six capabilities every tool on this site is measured on, plus markets, trial and price.
| Capability | Arbitrage Hero | SourceMogul |
|---|---|---|
| Online arbitrage store scanning | Hundreds of US and UK stores | ×No longer on sale |
| Wholesale price list matching | Lists of any size | ×No longer on sale |
| Reverse search (ASIN or storefront) | ASIN, category, storefront | ×No longer on sale |
| Repricer | Included at every tier | ×Never offered |
| Inventory and COGS tracking | FIFO COGS, restock alerts | ×Never offered |
| Chrome extension | Amazon and retailer pages | ×No longer on sale |
| Marketplaces | Amazon US and UKsee the store list | Was Amazon US and UK |
| Free trial | 3 days, on the monthly plan | No longer trading |
| Entry price | $47/mo, or $376/yr | See SourceMogul |
Everything in the SourceMogul column - the capabilities, the marketplaces, the trial and the price - was read from SourceMogul's own site. Vendors change packaging and prices; check theirs before you decide. Ours are always current on the pricing page.
Reasons not to switch
Credit where it is due
- Nothing today - the product is not trading.
- For the record: its catalog was large (80+ million products) and its interface was genuinely beginner-friendly, which is what most of its users want to keep.
What switching involves
- 1
Start the trial and set your filters once
Enter the ROI floor, minimum profit and sales rank limits you already buy on, then save them as a preset. If you run different criteria per category, save one preset each.
- 2
Re-run the retailers that were already working
Your winning stores stay your winning stores. Scan them with your preset and rebuild the pipeline from fresh prices rather than importing stale finds.
- 3
Upload one supplier price list
If you buy wholesale as well, upload a list and check the matches against what you know is true. It is the fastest way to judge the matching quality.
- 4
Connect Amazon for the repricer and cost tracking
This is the part most of the tools on this page do not do at all. Turn on the repricer, and let the inventory manager pick up cost of goods from your first purchase.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is SourceMogul really gone?+
Its sourcing tool is no longer on sale - check sourcemogul.com and there is nothing to subscribe to. Whatever the brand does next, a waitlist does not source products this month.
Can I import my SourceMogul buy lists?+
There is nothing to export from. The practical move is to recreate your filters as a preset and re-run your best retailers - anything worth carrying over shows up again, and anything that does not has moved in price and no longer qualifies.
How long does migration take?+
For a straightforward setup, often one evening: set your ROI floor, minimum profit and sales rank limits once, save them as a preset, and scan the two retailers that were already working for you. Allow longer if you keep several different filter sets.
Try it against SourceMogul on your own retailers
3 days free on the monthly plan. Set your filters, scan the two stores you know best, and compare what comes back.
