Amazon FBA Q4 2026 Deadlines: The Dates That Decide Your Holiday Season

Amazon has published its Q4 2026 dates, and the headline is simple: the fees stay where they were, but the inventory deadlines moved earlier. If you sell FBA, these are the dates that decide whether your stock carries the Prime badge through the biggest shopping weeks of the year - miss the cutoff and your products sit in a queue while the event happens without them.
Here is the calendar, and how to plan sourcing backwards from it. Dates come from Amazon's own announcement; always confirm the dates shown in your Seller Central account, as Amazon can adjust them.
What are the Amazon FBA deadlines for Q4 2026?
- 8 September - deal submissions close for the October Prime event (Prime Big Deal Days).
- 9 September - FBA inventory arrival deadline for the October event with minimal shipment splits.
- 16 September - FBA inventory arrival deadline for the October event with Amazon-optimized shipment splits.
- 20 October - deal submissions close for Black Friday week and Cyber Monday.
- 21 October - FBA arrival deadline for Black Friday and Cyber Monday with minimal shipment splits.
- 28 October - FBA arrival deadline for Black Friday and Cyber Monday with Amazon-optimized shipment splits.
Two details worth noticing. The later deadline in each pair belongs to Amazon-optimized shipment splits - letting Amazon spread your inbound stock across its network buys you an extra week. And the deal submission windows close before the inventory deadlines, so a product you want in an event deal needs to be decided earliest of all.
What happens if you miss the cutoff?
Your shipment still gets received - eventually. But inventory that arrives after the deadline is not guaranteed to be available for the event, which in practice means no Prime badge on the listing exactly when traffic peaks. For an arbitrage seller whose whole position is a competitive offer on an existing listing, losing the badge during Black Friday week largely defeats the point of having stocked for it.
How do you plan sourcing backwards from these dates?
An online arbitrage buy has a supply chain, even if it does not feel like one: find the product, order it, wait for delivery, prep and label, ship to Amazon, and wait for the shipment to be checked in. For most sellers that chain runs two to three weeks end to end. Working backwards from 28 October puts the last sensible Black Friday buying days in early October, and the October event's mid-September deadline puts its buying window in late August and the first days of September.
That is the real message of this calendar: Q4 sourcing is an August-to-October activity. The Q4 preparation guide covers what that sourcing should look like, and the category and store shortlist covers where to point it. The store scan with a saved preset is how you cover enough ground in the window you have.
Did Amazon change fees for holiday 2026?
No new holiday fee increases were announced with these dates - the 2026 announcement keeps fees unchanged from 2025 while moving the inbound windows earlier. The trade Amazon is offering is clear enough: same costs, less time. Sellers who treat the deadlines as the start of their planning rather than a fact to discover in October are the ones the trade favours.
One closing habit: put these dates in your actual calendar now, with reminders two weeks ahead of each. Every year, the sellers who miss the cutoffs are rarely the ones who did not know - they are the ones who knew in July and remembered in November.
